(By Iheanyi Ezinwo)- As pressures mount on Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to run for presidency in 2023, the gentleman from Otuoke has been advised to rather remain a statesman and resist the temptation to return to the murky waters of politics.
This advice was given by Dr. Jude Nwoka, associate professor at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, in Rivers State.
Dr.Nwoka, who is head of Management department warned the former president to be wary of opportunistic political jobbers who are seeking for relevance and what they will gain, and may have nothing to lose should things fail to go as planned.
“No need, he should remain the patriot he is known for, rather than coming to be ridiculed by political jobbers who seek relevance.
Emphasizing that, ” No president has gone and come back to power that way”, the associate professor of Hunan Resources further reasoned that, “many enemies of his immediate past administration will fight against his return”, a situation that would re-enact the 2015 clash between Jonathan’s politics of restraint and desperate politicians who would want to be in power at all cost.
