Iheanyi Ezinwo, publisher of Notable Outcome presentating Outstanding Leadership Award to Chief Aroloyeteim Brown on Saturday in Port Harcourt

(By Silas Tamuno) – Leaders at all levels in Nigeria have been advised to accept responsibility for fulfilling the legitimate expectations of the citizens because leadership is all about results, and not the mere possession of certain attributes.

This advice was given by Chief Aroloyoteim Brown while responding to the Outstanding Leadership Award bestowed on him by Notable Outcome on Saturday in Port Harcourt.

The awardee, who lauded Notable Outcome for its consistency and objective reportage, said he was billed to receive the award during the 14th anniversary of Notable Outcome, but that because he was out of town at the time, the award presentation was shifted to make it a double on Saturday, November 14, when his wife’s 50th birthday was also celebrated.

While thanking God for giving him a supportive wife, and for preserving her life and the marriage of over 20 years, Chief Aroloyeteim Brown Charged the publisher of Notable Outcome to remain focused on making the global news medium to rank among the best, stressing that the challenging environment should not be an excuse to compromise standards.

The international negotiator and mediator harped on the need for Nigerian leaders to return to the drawing board and do the right things, stressing that recent events in the country were strong indications that “the sleeping dog is awake”.

While declaring that the award was special to him, Chief Brown further maintained that it comes with responsibility, and a reminder that he was being watched, while insisting that leaders must make sacrifices today in order to guarantee a brighter future for succeeding generations.

Earlier, the publisher of Notable Outcome, Iheanyi Ezinwo, had explained that, Chief Aroloyetein Brown, former chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Council of Rivers State, was honoured with the Outstanding Leadership Award because of his exceptional performance as a certified negotiator and mediator, as well as his commitment to the promotion of peace in the society.

The double celebration was attended by people from all walks of life.
