(By Chris K. Amadi) – A Port Harcourt High Court presided by Justice Adulphus Enebeli has turned down the request of Bro. Felix Obuah, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State to stop the police from inviting him for interrogation following a petition by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State.
Justice Enebeli, in turning down Obuah’s prayer in Port Harcourt, Monday maintained that it was part of the lawful duties of the police to investigate allegations which includes invitations of those concerned for interviews in order to give then a fair hearing and also confirm the veracity or otherwise of such allegations.
It would be recalled that the APC in Rivers State had petitioned the police alleging that Hon. Felix Obuah, former chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, ONELGA, of Rivers State had a hand in the violence that was recorded in ONELGA before, during and after the 2015 elections in Rivers State.
