Croatia’s 2-0 Win Troubles Nigerian Soccer Fans

(By Chioma Peters)-Most Nigerian soccer fans were disappointed on Saturday when, at the end of regulation time at the on going 2018 World Cup in Russia, Croatia ran away with a 2-0 win against Nigeria in their first match in Group D.
The game which was more exciting, with the Super Eagles appearing more adventurous in the second half, saw Nigeria recording an own goal from Oghenekaro Etebo in the first half, and conceiving a second goal through a penalty brilliantly taken by Luka Modric in the second half.
Nigeria’s next match is with Iceland on Friday, 22 June, while the last Group D match would be with Argentina on Tuesday, 26 June.
