The General Overseer of Salvation Ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, on Sunday called on the recalcitrant youths perpetrating all sorts of crimes, including cultism and kidnapping in Ikwerre Local Government Area,LGA, of Rivers State to repent and carry God, instead of carrying guns.
Pastor Ibiyeomie made this proclamation during a one-day liberation and dedication to the God Almighty programme organised by Omerelu people in order to cleanse Ikwerre LGA, using Omerelu as a case study.
While handling over the lands of Ikwerre LGA to God, the Salvation Ministry GO urged all the cultists who came out to give their lives to God never to return back to evil, saying that the wroth of God will befall upon them if they do so.
He used the opportunity to announce a skill acquisition programme to all the cultists who gave their lives to God.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Nwanosike, had in his speech called on the ‘civilian generals’ once again to shun vice and embrace his skills acquisition programmes, adding that he and his team will do everything possible to root out miscreants from the LGA.
On his part, the Nyewe-Ali Omerelu, Eze Ben O. Ugo (Elumoha VIII), expressed appreciation to Pastor David Ibiyeomie and the LGA Chairman for coming to his community to seek for the peace Omerelu and Ikwerre LGA at large.
