(By Silas Tamuno) – Sunday, March 21, 2021 is one day Bishop Amos Ordu will never forget.On that day, he was consecrated and enthroned into the office of Bishop in the church of Christ by Cardinal J.I.Ikezim, Primate of the International Christian Charismatic College and Ministerial Association, ICCCMA.
Speaking with newsmen after his enthronement in Port Harcourt, Bishop Ordu, who is the leader of Christ Faith Mission in Rivers State and spiritual trustee of the church in Nigeria said he was overjoyed.
“I feel happy that God’s word has been fulfilled in my life.God has pushed aside every opposition to make my consecration and enthronement a reality”, Bishop Ordu exclaimed.
Responding to a question, the newly ordained Bishop observed that it is good to be patient in life.He added: “Whatever God has prepared for you, at the appropriate time, it will come to you”, even as he added that every Service has a reward. He also asserted that there is hope for Nigeria, the numerous challenges not withstanding.
Earlier in his charge at the ceremony, Cardinal Ikezim had declared that examples abounded of cases where those who were rejected by men have been chosen by God.
The man of God further stated that Bishop Ordu was chosen by divine order of Faith, adding that the event marked the fulfillment of a prophecy in the life of the celebrant.
The ordination featured praise and worship, prayers and presentation of gifts.
Cardinal Ikezim was supported at the enthronement of Bishop Ordu by ArcBishop F.E.Gideon; Arch Bishop Herbert Richard; ArchBishop Chuks Boms; Arc Bishop Edi Ogbonda;ArcBishop Ezebunwo Felix; Bishop Shedrack Abudude; Bishop Chindah Benson; Bishop J.J.Benson; Bishop Zerubabel;Rt.Rev. G.W.Chike among others.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Hon.Victor Ihunwo who was represented by the Council Secretary, Dr.Ezebunwo Nyeche, Prof.Samuel Uzoigwe of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and a host of other dignitaries.
