The Ogbakor Ikwerre cultural organization wirkd wide has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for making his ikwerre ethnic nationality proud by making a bold statement with uncommon infrastructural development in Rivers state.
In a letter of appreciation addressed to the Governor and dated December 1, 2022, the President General of Ogbakor ikwerre, Prof. Emenike Wami, said:
“Ogbakor Ikwerre has noted with keen excitement the huge infrastructural development and overall development that your focused administration has brought to Rivers State.
“Every segment of your administration is blessed with plethora of projects flagoff and projects commissioning.
“You have given enormous Urban re rewal identity to Port Harcourt City with over twelve fly over Bridges and constructed many roads accross the state to ensure that no one is left behind.
“The Dr. Peter Odili Cancer and Cardiovascular didrsdes diagnostics and treatment centre is another break through in health/ medical service delivery in the state.
“The magnificuent Nabo Graham Douglas law School edifice in Rumueme, Port zhatcourt built by Your Excellency is clearly second to none in West Africa.
“The establishment of some campuses of the Rivers State University in different local Government Areas of the state are clear indications of Your Administration’s commitment to decentralizing development in the state.
” Our tertiary institutions have continued to enjoy uninterrupted academic calendar because of your manifest commitment to educational development in the state.
“It is also on record that your administration has given scholarships and employment more acedemics to upgrade the acedemics profile of Rivers State”, the President General stated, adding that it was in recognition of Governor Wike’s exceptional performance that he was given a Presidential Award in Infrastructural Development.
“We are proud of you. Your towering political profile and sterling performance have sustained the relevance of Ikwerre in the commity of ethnic nationalities in Nigeria,”, Ogbakor Ikwerre letter stated, while urging the Governor to continue to serve Rivers state and the country untill the last day of his administration
