Victims of an ongoing exploration activity being carried out by the Nigeria Agip Oil Company in Ebogoro South 2 Location in Omoku, Ogba Egbema Local Government Area of Rivers State have cried to the Rivers State House of Assembly for intervention over threat to their lives and environment.
In their meeting with the ONELGA Constituency 1 lawmaker in the Rivers State House of Assembly recently, Hon. Christian Ahiakwo, Leader of the Aliigbor Landlords, BRIGHT ABALI urged other members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to prevail on the oil company to relocate affected residents from the area of operation.
In his response, Hon. Ahiakwo assured the victims whose houses were cracked and damaged to maintain the peace, promising that the Assembly would look into the matter.
