IMPAN Exco members and others after meeting last Friday in Port Harcourt

(By Iheanyi Ezinwo) – The Ikwerre Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, IMPAN, has congratulated the new Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Nlerum Sunday Okogbule, on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the state University.

The body, in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, Justice Ogbonna, shortly after its general meeting on Friday 17th July, 2020 in Port Harcourt.

The IMPAN also condoled with the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ,over the demise of his elder brother, Charles Amaechi, praying God Almighty to give the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

The statement also thanked Ike Wigodo, Bon Woke, Felix Okogbule and others for counsel that has helped in repositioning IMPAN in the interest and benefit of Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality.

Meanwhile, the Association, at the meeting, unanimously voted for some persons to fill some positions, while calling on members to close ranks to ensure that the objectives of the association are achieved.

With the restructuring, Iheanyi Ezinwo becomes the Vice Chairman; Godwin Warisi is now the Secretary General; Emeka Jilly Ejiowhor emerged Assistant Secretary; Fortune Wodumati is Organizing Secretary while Levi Isu was voted Financial Secretary.
The statement adds that status quo remains in other positions remains.
