(By Chris K. Amadi)-The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Rivers State chapter recorded another milestone on Thursday when the chapter unveiled the OR Vision Magazine at the November 2020 meeting.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of NIPR, Rivers State chapter, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, lauded the publication committee for delivering a world class magazine, adding that the initiative would boost the reputation of the Rivers State chapter of the NIPR.
Nsirim, who doubles as Rivers State Information and Communications Commissioner however harped on the need for government to initiate the process for rebuilding the country’s reputation, especially against the background of the NSARS protest that rocked parts of the country.
He challenged NIPR members to get involved with a view to reminding leaders of their social contract and be accountable to the people.
In his goodwill message, HRM, Felix Otuarikpo of Okpata kingdom and regent of Eze Epkeye stool, who was represented, lauded the initiative, pledging his continuous support to the chapter.
In his remarks at the occasion, a member of the publications committee, Chinedu Emeana, explained, just like Dr. Jossy Nkwocha, chairman of the committee and Editor -in – Chief of the Magazine, had stated in his column, that the new edition of the glossy 24 – page PR Vision Magazine was dedicated to rebuilding the reputation of Rivers State.
The Magazine was unveiled by Mrs.Tonye Oniyide, Rivers Culture Commissioner.
