Rivers Assembly Congratulates Governor Wike On One Year Of Second Term …Restates Commitment To Quality Representation

(By Iheanyi Ezinwo) -The Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Ikuinyi Owaji-Ibani, principal officers and members have felicitated with Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State on the occasion of successful one year into his second tenure in office.

In a statement, Rt. Hon.Ikuinyi Owaji-Ibani, observed that despite the limitations occasioned by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the country, and the associated risks, that the governor has continued to provide purposeful leadership and dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State.

The stamen said: “It is worthy of note that you commenced your second term with a combination of project commissioning and flag- off of new ones amongst which are:

“Simultaneous construction of three Flyovers, Inauguration of Pleasure Park Cinema, Rumuokurushi-Elelenwo-Akpajo Road, Real Madrid Academy, Rumuowoji (Mile One) Market, Ogbunabali (Fruit Garden) Market, Nigerian Labour Congress House, Dualized Birabi Street New GRA, inaugurated Bonny/ Adaka Boro and Elliot Henry Streets in Old Port Harcourt Township amongst others.

“In addition, your response to check the spread of the covid-19 pandemic in the state is legendary in provision of isolation centres and palliative for the most vulnerable households in the twenty three Local Government Areas across party lines”, even as the speaker restated the commitment of lawmakers to ensure quality representation and good governance under the watch of the governor as the Leader of the State.
