(By Chris K. Amadi)-The government and people of Rivers State have been thrown into mourning following the passing on Friday in a London hospital of Mr. Emmanuel Chiwenwo Aguma, SAN, Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state.
Those who were close to the Senior Advocate of Nigeria were shocked that there was no visible signs to tell of his sudden death, but prayed God to comfort all those he left behind.
As condolence messages pour in, the Rivers State Governor, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has described the death of Mr. Chinwe Aguma as monumental loss, while directing that flags fly at half mast in the state on Saturday and Sunday in honour of the departed.
The late Aguma was appointed Attorney General of Rivers State by Governor Wike in 2015, the same year he was appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Between 2000 and 2002, he served as Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch, and chairman from 2006 to 2008.
He left behind a wife, children and relations.
