T. B.Joshua’s Demise Foretold; As Associates Mourn Stephen Akinola’s Passing

( By Silas Ofori) – The sudden demise of Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, last Saturday in Lagos at the age of 57 was  foretold about a month earlier.
Reports have it that one Apostle M.E. Paul saw the vision of ” 6 angels: three on the left and three on the right lifting T.B. Joshua up as he held a trophy”, adding that the Apostle also heard the voice of God telling the angels to collect the trophy from Prophet Joshua and put him where he belongs as he has fulfilled his life mission.

While the news of Prophet Joshua’s passing was yet to settle, that of Rev Stephen Akinola, founder and general superintendent at Redemption Ministries, with headquarters in Port Harcourt, broke out. He was said to have died at an Abuja hospital.

According to reports, Rev Akinola was born in 1953 in Ghana, to Nigerian parents, late Samuel Otunla and late Madam Marian Akanke Akinola.

He had encounter of salvation with Christ in 1974, and was one of the founding members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, having been part of the regular Bible Study sessions that Pastor W. F. Kumuyi organised at the time at his University of Lagos residence.

The departed started the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in 1977 in Port Harcourt, but in 1987, Pastor Akinola started the Redemption Ministries. The work has, over time, prospered in his hands with branches in Nigeria and outside.
