Tuesday, 21 August and Wednesday, 22 August neat week have been declared public holidays in Nigeria.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of nterior, Dr. Mohammed Bello Umar, quotes the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd), as saying that the public holidays were to mark the 2018 Muslim festival, Eid-El-Kabir, and urged all Nigerians to use the period to reflect on the collective heritage and embrace the virtues of of love and sacrifice for the unity and development of the nation.
