Hon. Gabriel Pidomson, Chairman of Board of Trustees, Wike Solidarity Movement

(By Iheanyi Ezinwo) -The governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has been appointed Project Director of Rivers Project, to ensure that political predators are not given space to subvert the will of the people in 2019.
The appointment was announced over the weekend in Port Harcourt by Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Wike Solidarity Movement, WSM, at the inauguration of the executive council of WSM cluster, responsible for mobilizing Rivers people to reject selfish politicians, who had used their respective offices in the past to under-develop Rivers State.
Speaking further, Hon Pidomson explained that Rivers people have reject those who striped the state naked; politicians who made promises they never intended to fulfill, and have chosen Governor Wike to lead the state until 2023.
His words:
“We hereby appoint Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS to be the Project Director of Rivers Project. We are not just paying lip service, we are mobilizing the state to realize the objectives of Rivers Project, which are: to re-elect a people’s Governor; provide security in the state; build bridges of unity; blossom our culture; change the façade of our state with laudable, people oriented, and high impact projects; Improve our economy; keep our environment clean; create jobs for all who live in Rivers State; return our state to its Garden City status; and Secure the future of our children.
“That is why we are inaugurating 238 Executive Council members covering market men and women, non-indigenes, scholars; the strong and the weak. It is our way to say “Thank You!” to the man who is changing the destiny of our people, the facade of our landscape, and promoting the true character of the Rivers Man”, the former Secretary to Rivers State Government further declared.
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Kingsley Chindah, member of Federal House of Representatives lauded Governor Wike for his numerous people – oriented projects which are being enjoyed by all who live and do business in the state, including non- indigenes, adding that Wike has made Rivers people proud and so deserves a second term.
AIn his own remarks, Governor Wike’s Special Adviser on Political Matters and Strategy, Chief Emeh Glory Emeh, who also represented the governor, said Governor Wike has shown that ability to deliver should be the precondition to consider any one for leadership in the state, even as he asserted that Wike has broken all the inherited barriers of separatism, and forged understanding and unity in the state.
He urged the executive members of the newly inaugurated clusters to carry the message of Wike for 2019 to every unit in the state, even as he maintained that Wike has justified the mandate of the electorates, and therefore a good product for anyone to promote
.
In his own remarks, Chief Oris Onyiri, Chairman of Rivers State Civil Service Commission thanked the Wike Solidarity Movement for the mission of promoting Wike as a man who keeps his words, declaring that, there is no vacancy in Brick House in 2019.
The event was attended by notable politicians and officials of the Rivers State Government, including Barr. Rufus Godwins, Head of Service and Mrs. Tonye Oniyide, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the state.
