Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State
Chief (Hon.) Barr. Emeh Glory Emeh, Special Adviser to Governor Wike on Political Matters and Strategy

(By Chris K. Amadi)-The Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike on Political Matters and Strategy, Barr. Emeh Glory Emeh, has declared that Rivers people are no longer worried about where their leader comes from but rather concerned about ability and capacity to provide service and development for the benefit of all irrespective of political affiliations.
Speaking with newsmen at the 40th anniversary of Hon. OCJ Okocha, SAN, in legal practice in Port Harcourt, recently, the former Chief of Staff, Government House, said the performance of Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has unified the different ethnic groups that make up Rivers State.
His words: “Governor Nyesom Wike has cemented the bond of fraternal coexistence and has broken all the barriers of riverine/upland ethnocentric dichotomy experienced in the past. From Wike’s attitude, vision/mission and performance, our people no longer bother about where their leader comes from but rather his ability and capacity to provide service and development for the benefit of our people irrespective of political affiliation.
“ If you see Governor Wike anywhere in the midst of five persons, those persons you see with him are likely from five different tribes or nationalities in the state. The governor does not eat alone. Each time he is eating you are also likely to find persons from different ethnic groups in the state eating with him.
“This is the reason why Rivers people have come to the inevitable conclusion that God is wonderful to them, and that there is no alternative to Governor Wike in 2019. Just recently the chiefs and elders of the State, through the traditional rulers council honoured the governor with the royal title of THE PRIDE OF RIVERS STATE, in appreciation of Governor Wike’s monumental achievements within the short but very impressive period of three years”, the political strategist further stated.
Responding to a question, Chef Emeh said Rivers is a unique state because “the opposition are short of words in criticizing Governor Wike, particularly after the impressive third year anniversary celebration.
“The lessons from this new posture of the opposition, in a natural progression, is that they must have been criticizing in ignorance since they all reside in Lagos and Abuja and are therefore not in touch with the realities and happenings in our NEW Rivers State,” Barr. Emeh Glory Emeh summed.
