Two stores on the property

(By Chris K.Amadi)-Mrs. Margaret Ebong says the land she bought in September 2000 at Azuokemini Eagle Cement road, Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, and measuring 396.459 square meters has been forcefully taken away from her by agents of the Rivers State Government
Mrs. Ebong, who complained that efforts to reach Governor Nyesom Wike, and petitions to the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Lands and Survey have failed to yield positive results, is pleading with Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, Special Adviser to Governor Wike on Lands, Dr. Anugbuom Onuoha and Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Chinedu Tasie to come to her aid.

Four rooms block yet to be roofed on the property

The lady, who in her petition had explained that she has been out of Rivers State because of her husband’s failing health, said, on the 28th of June 2016, she got a call that her building has been destroyed by the government and the land forcefully acquired for reasons she has no knowledge of, said she visited the site this year only to meet an empty land with a fence.
Before her husband’s health challenge and subsequent forceful acquisition of the land, Mrs Margaret Augustus Ebong said she had built two stores for rent and commenced the building of four rooms, up to roofing stage on the property .

Deed of conveyance

“I am totally confused and battered. Where else on earth will I get money to acquire such property? That is the only investment I would have fallen on in this perilous time?, Mrs Ebong cried.
She is therefore praying Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, Special Adviser on Lands, Dr. Anugbuom Onuoha and Rivers State Commissioner for Housing, Hon.Chinedu Tasie, to look into her plight and compensate her accordingly, stressing that the said property was legally acquired with valid documents.
