World Cup: Nigeria’s Head Coach Cuts Down Players To 25, Drops Others

(By Chioma Peters)-The head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has settled for 25 players who will be in the team that will prosecute the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Among those who failed to make the provisional list of 25, according to Daily Post are: Moses Simon, Dele Ajiboye, Uche Agbo, Stephen Eze and Junior Lokosa, and there were indications that those left behind will not be part of the Saturday friendly between Nigeria and England in London.

There were further indications that another set of two players will leave the Russian bound squad after the Saturday friendly with England, to cut down the number to 23.

Daily Post sources hints that four players are battling for two spots, and they include Ola Aina or Elderson Echiejile for left-back and Joel Obi or Mikel Agu for central midfield.
